We are Aslemetals Oy, a medium-sized metal industry subcontractor. Steel and plate structures and different pipe systems are our core competence. We also manufacture concrete moulds and technical safety products – we supply our products to power plants and the shipbuilding, concrete, metal and chemical industries. We have a long history of diverse turnkey deliveries.
Our expertise is built on strong professional skill, extensive experience, effective machinery and a wide partner network. Our manufacturing and deliveries are subject to strict quality requirements, and we use ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EN 1090-1 and ISO EN 3834-2 compliant and certified management systems. We often work as a partner instead of a simple subcontractor – we have continued development for decades with some of our customers. You can read more about our history here.

STEEL AND PLATE STRUCTURES
We produce a range of welded steel and plate structures as a subcontractor. For a long time, our main products have been demanding steel frames, wear-resistant steel components and various containers.
PIPE SYSTEMS
We manufacture custom piping modules and assemblies for demanding conditions. The high quality of our work is maintained by in-house quality control and verified by documentation.
TURNKEY DELIVERIES
We take full responsibility from start to finish for turnkey deliveries. Our work is supported by a dependable partner network that enables us to meet the different and varying needs of our customers.

We set operational targets that drive continuous development and monitor the progress. Our skill base is supplemented with the specialists of the best subcontractors and partners. We procure products and services from suppliers with proven high-quality production that is effective and environmentally friendly, and who will further develop these aspects in cooperation with us.
ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
We continuously develop our operations to be more environmentally friendly. For production, we choose the least harmful chemicals and use them safely and with consideration for the environment. All production waste is sorted and delivered for recycling and recovery. We are committed to reducing our energy consumption as part of the national Energy Efficiency Agreement.
Aslemetals is a member of Suomen Pakkauskierrätys RINKI Oy, who manages our producer responsibility for packaging.
Operations
We currently have three closely located branches that support one another, each with their own area of expertise. This has allowed us to expand our specialisations and develop our professional skills in depth. By specialising, we have improved our capability for making high-quality deliveries on time. In addition to our own three branches, we have a wide partner network that helps us provide a comprehensive service.
LAPIJOKI MACHINE SHOP
Lapijoki is the centre of our piping module and pipe product manufacturing. The machine shop also features a separate testing facility and its personnel are experts in electrical automation.
KAARO MACHINE SHOP
At Kaaro, the main products are demanding welded steel frames, wear-resistant steel components and various containers.
The shop's machinery is capable of processing and pressing large pieces. The Kaaro machine shop also manufactures moulds for the concrete industry.
OLKILUOTO SHIPYARD
The Olkiluoto shipyard is where we carry out our versatile turnkey deliveries.
The shipyard has two outfitting quays with a combined length of 205 metres. Vessels can be moored in our basin and we also rent it out to external operators. The basin is 85 metres long, 15.7 metres wide and its step is 4.3 metres below mean sea level.
